Dr. Ruth Kitzes-Cohen has been managing a unique drug information center in the Carmel Medical Center in Haifa Israel for almost 20 years (for more information click here).
The employees, a skillful and professional staff, consist of medical doctors, pharmacists, nurses and chemists.
The drug information center has many electronic data bases on drugs as well as professional literature in this area.
These resources enable the center to supply the following information to health-care professionals:

The General & Geriatric Drug Information Center
The General & Geriatric Drug Information Center is part of the Clinical Pharmacology & Infectious Diseases Unit in the Carmel Medical Center, Haifa Israel.
The Unit employs a skillful and professional staff consisting of, medical doctors, pharmacists, nurses and chemists.
Dr. Ruth Kitzes-Cohen, an experienced physician specializing in Clinical Pharmacology and Infection Diseases, directs the information center, which was established in 1980. Dr. Kitzes is a graduate of the Medical School at the Hebrew University in Jerusalem.
The professional staff includes two clinical pharmacists:
Amit Wasserman, who graduated the School of Pharmacy at the Hebrew University in Jerusalem and holds an M. Pharm degree in Clinical Pharmacy.
Ayana Hanoch, who graduated the School of Pharmacy at the Hebrew University in Jerusalem and a Clinical Pharmacology course at Tel-Aviv University.
The Information Center performs the following tasks:
Due to a large number of new drugs and drug related information on the market, there is an increasing demand for updated drug information. The Center serves this need by supplying up to date general and geriatric drug information. In recent years, there is an on-going increase in life expectancy. This, in turn, increases the percent age of geriatrics in the population. Naturally, the geriatric population suffers from a larger number of illnesses that create a higher level of drug consumption and drug side effects.
The Drug Information Center has many electronic databases on drugs as well as professional literature in this area. These resources enable us to supply the following information to the health-care community:
